World’s first fan convention scheduled for 2022


David Bowie fans from all over the world will gather in droves next year for the first-ever David Bowie Fans Convention worldwide.

Taking place June 17-19, 2022 in Liverpool, the convention coincides with the 50th anniversary of Bowie’s flagship album The rise and fall of Ziggy Stardust and the spiders of Mars.

According to the convention’s website, the event promises: “An opportunity for all fans to listen, learn, laugh and leave inspired, ticket holders for the event will rub shoulders with esteemed Bowie collaborators, in particular: the guitarist and conductor for 3 decades, Carlos Alomar; bassist and singer from 1995 to 2016, Gail Ann Dorsey; legendary drummer and last survivor of the Spider of Mars, Woody Woodmansey; unmistakable vocal power, Robin Clark; and the last musician to play with Bowie, saxophonist Donny McCaslin.
