Ricky Gervais, Corey Taylor, Boy George and more added to the David Bowie live broadcast lineup

A host of names including Boy George, Ricky Gervais, Slipknot’s Corey Taylor and a supergroup led by Dave Navarro of Jane’s Addiction have been added to the lineup for the special live-action charity event that will honor David’s life and career. Bowie this weekend. .

A Bowie Celebration: Just For One Day! will air worldwide on Friday, January 8 to mark what would have been the 74th birthday of the late artist. Hosted by Mike Garson, a member of Bowie’s oldest group, the event will also help raise funds for Save The Children.

While Yungblud, Anna Calvi and Duran Duran have already signed up, today even more star names are joining the lineup.

In addition to Gervais, Taylor and Navarro, fans can also expect appearances from Taylor Momsen, Taylor Hawkins from Foo Fighters, Chris Chaney from Jane’s Addiction and Take That’s Gary Barlow.

Other artists include Adam Lambert, Andra Day, Michael C. Hall, Ian Hunter of Mott the Hoople, Atticus Ross, Kind Heaven Orchestra singer Etty Lau Farrell and How to Destroy Angels singer Mariqueen Maandig Reznor.

They will be joined by Peter Frampton, David Sanborn and Rick Wakeman.

Tickets for A Bowie Celebration: Just For One Day! are on sale now, and while the event kicks off at 2 a.m. UK time (6 p.m. Pacific time), the show will be available for ticket holders around the world to enjoy live and for 24 hours after its initial release.
