Ricky Gervais, Corey Taylor, Boy George and more added to David Bowie tribute live lineup


A host of names, including Boy George, Ricky Gervais, Corey Taylor of Slipknot and a supergroup fronted by Dave Navarro of Jane’s Addiction, have been added to the lineup for the special live charity event that will honor David’s life and career. Bowie this weekend. .

A Bowie celebration: just for one day! will air worldwide on Friday, January 8 to mark what would have been the late artist’s 74th birthday. Hosted by Bowie’s oldest band member, Mike Garson, the event will also help raise money for Save The Children.

While Yungblud, Anna Calvi and Duran Duran have already signed up, today even more star names are joining the lineup.

In addition to Gervais, Taylor and Navarro, fans can also expect appearances from Taylor Momsen, Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters, Chris Chaney of Jane’s Addiction and Gary Barlow of Take That.

Other artists include Adam Lambert, Andra Day, Michael C. Hall, Mott the Hoople‘s Ian Hunter, Atticus Ross, Kind Heaven Orchestra singer Etty Lau Farrell and How to Destroy Angels singer Mariqueen Maandig Reznor.

They will be joined by Peter Frampton, David Sanborn and Rick Wakeman.

Tickets for A Bowie celebration: just for one day! are on sale nowand while the event kicks off at 2am UK time (6pm PT), the show will be available for ticket holders worldwide to enjoy live and for 24 hours after its initial broadcast.
