Mott The Hoople ’74 cancels dates due to Ian Hunter’s severe tinnitus

Mott the Hoople ’74, which brings together the leader Ian Hunter with former bandmates Ariel Bender and Morgan Fisher, were supposed to hit the road again for a US tour in the fall, but unfortunately had to cancel the tour because Ian Hunter developed a severe case of tinnitus. The announcement reads as follows:

Mott the Hoople ’74 is disappointed to have to announce the cancellation of its US Fall 2019 tour. The band’s vocalist and guitarist, Ian Hunter, recently developed a severe case of tinnitus and his doctors advised him to stop playing until this condition disappears.
